THE Quickmill FSW GANTRY MACHINING CENTER
Purpose-built, reinforced steel gantries provide the high rigidity required for heavy-duty Friction Stir Welding applications – delivering speed, capability and consistency. It produces 80 kN of FSW forging force, which translates to a weld depth of 38.1mm (1.5”) in aluminum and 6.35 mm (¼”) in steel. This platform increases the applications of FSW – thicker parts, harder metals and mixed materials.
The Quickmill FSW can be perform a full suite of machining applications and tasks. You can weld, then mill to clean up the parts on the same machine, same table and same setup, saving hours on jobs.
This moving gantry CNC milling machine boasts a small footprint, an easy-to-load table and is available in a variety of base sizes.
